Against the Elements: Rapport Takes on the Red Run for World AIDS Day

Our incredible Rapport team braved the elements to participate in the London Red Run 2024, held in support of World AIDS Day. Despite the challenging weather, the team showed resilience and determination. Together they ran or walked 5km to 10km to raise funds for Positive East.

More

More than a Run

This annual event is much more than just a run. It is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with those affected by HIV/AIDS, challenge stigma, and advocate for better access to testing and treatment. The London Red Run brings together individuals and organisations united by a shared goal: creating a future free from discrimination and judgment.

Giving back

Participation in events like the Red Run underscores Rapport’s commitment to giving back to the community. By supporting Positive East, the team has contributed to vital programmes that provide education, support, and resources to individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS. The spirit of generosity and compassion demonstrated by our team members is truly inspiring.

“Proud to represent Rapport at the Red Run London 2024 in Victoria Park last Saturday, marking World AIDS Day. Despite the challenging weather, I completed the 5K. HIV/AIDS stigma continues to be a significant barrier, preventing many from getting tested and seeking treatment. Now more than ever, we must prioritize the ‘H’ in HIV – focusing on the HUMANITY of each person, seeing them for who they are, and offering care and support.”

Nestor Moises, Rapport Ambassadork

The Red Run is not just a race; it’s a movement to create a future free from stigma and discrimination. We are honoured to have taken part and remain committed to supporting causes that align with our values. Together, we can make a difference.
