On Friday, April 26th, we hosted our much-anticipated annual Excellence Awards, marking the pinnacle of celebration and recognition within our organisation. As we look back on the event, it becomes clear that this year’s ceremony exceeded all expectations, marking it as a standout year in the history of the Rapport Excellence Awards.
The Rapport Excellence awards is our version of the ‘Oscars’, held at the prestigious QEII. It is a night dedicated to honouring Rapport ambassadors who exemplify excellence within our business. Now in its 12th year, our team members take centre stage as we celebrate their exceptional service to our business and our clients.
Preparations for the Excellence Awards begin months in advance, involving meticulous planning and thorough nomination processes. These nominations highlight and celebrate the incredible achievements of our Rapport ambassadors across the UK and Ireland, ensuring they receive the recognition they truly deserve.
This year’s event was brimming with unforgettable moments that etched themselves into the hearts of all attendees. From the stunning performance by Fil Straughan and the live band, to the awe-inspiring debut of the incredible, never-before-seen videos made to celebrate all of our team members. We heard heartfelt speeches and touching tributes, each making this a night that many will hold dear for years to come.
Among the highlights was a moving speech from Sam. His journey from the West Lea supported internship programme to full-time employment with us exemplifies the inclusive and empowering culture within our business. With gratitude overflowing, Sam expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Rapport, his dedicated team, and his supportive family for enabling his personal growth and newfound independence.
The energy in the room soared to new heights during the choir performance, showcasing the remarkable talent and passion of its members. Their harmonious voices resonated throughout the QEII, captivating the audience, and adding an unforgettable touch to the evening’s festivities.
Dirk Talsma, Managing Director at Rapport, officially launched our new Be Yourself Network, Be Active, along with our charity initiatives for the upcoming year. One of these initiatives is the London to Dublin Cycle to Inspire 597km challenge. During the launch, Dirk announced that he would participate in the challenge if a main sponsor was secured by the end of the night. In an exciting turn of events, a sponsor stepped forward immediately, confirming Dirk’s participation.
As we conclude another successful Excellence Awards ceremony, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success.
